How to get fender flares back on?

So into day one of a what i call a detail altho some others on this site may disagree so ill just throw that out there first so i dont get flamed.

Ive removed all the black plastic including the fender flares, wiper cowl, bedrails and the black plastick on top of the rear bumper to be re painted black. The only plastic not removed is the mirrors which arent faded and the door handles which im saving for another time cause it seems like a bigger hassle than i have time for.

How do i go about putting these peices back on? A lot of the clips were broke while removing the flairs, Im sure i can pick up a bag of alligator clips and use them with a bit of 3M tape. Is that the way to go or is there some secret out there to getting everything back on and secured.

Thanks for the help
