Passenger door doesnt "pop"

Hey yall, since I've had my truck the passenger door doesn't make that "popping" noise when you open it. It doesn't bother me at all but confuses the hell out of anyone riding with me! The door still opens without a problem just no one seems to really notice it because that popping noise isn't there. Does anyone understand what I am talking about or have any insight as to how I can fix it?
Thanks yall,
-Barrett

I know exactly what you mean. People look at me dumbfounded when they pull the handle and it doesn't make any noise. They usually feel like idiots when I say, "Did you try pushing the door open after you pulled the handle." It doesnt bother me in the least, but some of my passengers feel like they need to have their IQ tested after not being able (or percieved being able) to simply open a car door.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. This happens everytime someone opens that passenger door. I would like to know why it does that as well.

Mine does the same. People go to open the door, they try and try again. All I say is "push" and they say "ohhhh."

Mine has never had the popping noise. I love to get out and tell my passenger to figure it out.

Glad im not the only one with a door like this! But does anyone have a remedy for it? Although it is amusing that most people can't figure it out until the 3rd or 4th time they ride with me, it gets annoying every once and a while.

Mine used to pop until I switched out my stock, black door handles with the Lariat Chrome, chrome door handles.

I figure I tweaked something during the surgery. I know that I bent the actuator rod a bit but didn't think it mattered ('cause it was such a slight tweak and the door opened normally from the outside) so I didn't bother straightening it out. I was going to pull the doorskins off again (for the third? fourth? time) and see if straightening that rod helped.
