can i paint this???

i know this may sound crazy but my truck is red. but my grill suround and the back of my side view mirrors are chrome colored.

is there any way or any shop that could paint that to match my red or would i have to get new parts that are red or paintable?

please help!!!

Well you could weather it last very long or not is another thing. You could try and strip the crome but you might be better off if they are in good shape to get new ones and seel the crome ones to someoneles. You might have to buy the skull caps (mirror pices) since they brake alot of the time when being removed.

search for painting mirrors...

You will find something about a primer type of paint which is extremely adhesive it is in a rattle can. Not sure what the name was, but the member who has written about it swears by it.

you might want to try some of that special rattle can primer and then hit it with some Krylon Fusion. I'm pretty sure that would work.

Search around, ive seen multiple posts about PTM Mirrors.

I'll do a quick search and get back to you.

duplicor adhesion promoter works awesome. its like 4 bucks a can and goes along way. i used about half a can doing 3 coats on each 16" wheel i was working on. it even did the center caps nice with no scuffing the surface even. its at any parts store like autozone
