06 F150 front clip conversion to 03 Navigator

Hey guys, I'm new here. I just acquired a 06 f-150 extended cab that needs an entire center shot. I am wondering if a 03 linc. navigator headlight will fit the 06 f150 fenders. Can anyone help me with this? they look so similar in a picture, but i can't say for sure. Thanks in advance for your help.

they are the same basic shape but i believe the wiring and the mounting points are completely different. The correct f150 lights are probably way cheaper too unless you have a pair of navi's just sitting around. Just check out the classifieds here, there is always one or two pairs of factory lights for sale.

The F150 platform changed in 2004 to the newer, square version.

What year did the Navigator change?

I actually have an entire 03 navi front clip. Radiator Support, radiator, trans cooler, 2 fenders, hood, grille, bumper, both headlights. All the good stuff needed. I'm just not sure about the headlights matching the f-150 fenders. I can't use the navigator fenders because it won't line up with the 150 doors.

you have all the parts needed for a front end swap.
Like i said, youll need to blend the two fenders together.
Basically you cut off the donor (navi) front where the lights go and around the support mounting points and all the top where the hood contours and you attach it to the rest of factory (f150) fender

This gives you the factory wheel wells, and the door edges with the navi light and rad support mounting points and hood contour.

If you arent good at metalworking i suggest you befriend a body guy.
good luck and if you decide to go ahead with it, post pics.

The Navi and Expo's changed in 2003. The 2004-08 F150 were based on that. I was wondering if a Navi Hood/Grill would work on an 05 Screw. I got an explodable from the dealer and it looks like that they would, even the part have the same numbers. I was also wondering if the 07-08 Mark LT headlights would work? They look like they would but not sure. Does anyone know? THanks.

im a 99 owner, but i detail cras so i look at the headlights closely when i wash. the Lincolns seem to have a different bulb for high beam, and the fords have the same 9007 for hi/lo. so thats another ting to take a look into.

The mark lt lights will work on the 04+ F150, they are essentially the same truck.
Now as far as the previous gen navi hood/grille working on the 04+ front end using the 04+ F150/LT lights... thats a toss up, and its all a matter of measuring and fitting. If i were to give an honest opinion, i would say that it would not just bolt up. There will probably be some significant fabrication neccessary to fit them nice and properly.

Talking No they dont work

I try just switching the hoods and the navi hood is an inch shortet on each side on the fenders.the navi hood does not sit properly on the f150 there are some clearence problems on the underside , the f150 hood is thiner wile the navy has some with (3.5") probably because its made from fiberglas. the f150 lights and navi lights are diferent too they narrow at the ends towards the grill and ther grill is smaller. it turned out to not be cost effective i needed to buy navi hood , fenders, lights , and grill and cut the underside of the hood . finally I gave up returned the hood and lived to modify another day...
Im just gonna slap a mark grill on this one and call it.

i posted this rendering back in late 07 but couldnt find the original thread with the 04-08 f150 and the new 08 nav front. To pull this off you would need a full front nav clip.
That means fenders, hood, front core support, headlights, grille and MISC light clips, fender supports, bumper impact strips and the wiring, front bumper cover and everything to support and bolt the Nav peices in. The ford uni body front frame would need some mods to accept the new Navi front supports and fenderes probably but they may be close.
It should be very close since the expy/navi is very close to the truck plateform
