Hood Replacement or Repair?

I had my basketball goal fall on my hood of my 2006 King Ranch during the remnants of Huricane Faye. The pole of the goal came across the top of the hood causing mid damage dents and scratches. I am totally sick as you can imagine. What does anyone recommend? Does it makes since to try and repair it or is hood repair even an option when going for an estimate? PLEASE HELP!!!

A picture would help better determine whats available. Othr than that sounds more like an insurance thing.
