rear window weather strip replacement

I have a 99 scab and the rubber weather strip between the plastic combing around the window and the back of cab has come loose and fallen inside between cab and combing. It looks like the combing has to be removed to get at the rubber weather strip. Does anyone know how to remove combing and fix the problem?

bad weatherstriping usually means replacement, which means taking out and reinstalling the back glass might want to call a local glass place and see what they think is the easiest way to take care of it

I agree it needs replacing, however it doesn't seal the wndow. it prevents dirt etc... from getting behind the plastic molding that surrounds the window. Does the window have to be removed to take off the molding?

Same Rear Window Weather Strip Problem

I have a 00 F150 and have the same problem. I took it to a glass repair shop and they told me they have seen many 97-2001 F150's with this issue. They told me it was not a glass repair issue and suggested I go to a dealership. Have you had any luck repairing yours? Do you know if I can buy an aftermarket seal and repair it myself?
