Arrow Cheap looking plastic handles

I had to get my doors/tailgait handles painted. You would think on a Lariat they would detail them better. Mine is an '05, I know their painting them now.

I have a contact at my local Ford dealer body shop. He only charged me $200 to do 4 door handles, tailgate and some touch up work on my tonneau cover.

Does anyone know how long the painted handles will hold up under use? I would like to paint mine, but I only want to do it once. I do not want an ongoing project.

I painted mine in '06....I did have the dealer paint them, so I imagine he properly prepped the plastic.
