Cab Removal 1997 F150 ext cab

Is it possible to remove the cab from a 1997 f150 without too much trouble, and would one advise such a thing?

I have the Same question, though my concern is a 1998 F150 4X4,

My questions are do i remove the Bed?

Will the front fenders stay with the cab or do i remove those seperately

can I ask why?

anything is possible, and I'm sure that the fenders remain with the body. you guys are going to have a hella time disconnecting A LOT of things. and no, im sure the bed remains on.

Don't see why it can't be done. Call it overkill, but I have a friend who has removed a whole Expedition body in one piece to get to the back sparkplug when it broke.

Pretty hilarious to see pictures of the body on the lift while the chassis is on the ground.

My work truck had a head gasket oil leak. The mechanic had never pulled a cab before. He screwed up the repair first time (no compression in #2), so he had to pull the cab a second time. He said it only took him 4 hours to pull it the second time.

The Why

the original engine has a rod hanging out of the block the owner wasnt interested in using it for a rag hanger though he has a bigger engine he is interested in installing from a newer ford

Thank you
