Anyone ever move their heat/air controls to another location? If so, what would be involved in doing this?

I'm thinking of dropping them down to below the ash tray/cupholder in some type of custom enclosure to get more room for my audio equipment in the dash.

 

Ive done that in my mustangs, pre 99 that is, it was a real PITA! It does work, and looks good, and provides nice space. Its just a real PITA to do! You have all sorts of little hoses that have to be rerouted.... if you are patient and have lots of time, you can do it.

 

It sounds like that may not be something I want to do. Thanks for the input!
