Word of caution on PPI and Orion products. They have been bought up and rumor has it will both be shutting their doors, if they haven't already.

Too bad because both companies made excellent products and had awesome service.

 

Ahhh rumors. Fun stuff. Your parent company gets bought and all of a sudden everyone thinks you are shutting down.

PPI will not be shutting doors anytime soon, so sorry.

 

PPI is a great company and it would suck if they did shut down. I don't they will just because they have been making great products for a long time.

 

Not rumors. they have both been bought out because neither has been making money for quite some time. I know of qute a few people with equipment in for repairs. others who won't be getting theirs fixed because there is no more tech support.

 

Orion, PPI and A/D/S have been "aquired by DEI, the makers of Viper, Python, Sidewinder security products and also DEI Audio. DEI also "aquired" Clifford back in the fall of 2000, so be on the lookout for this company they are gaining their share of the mobile electronics market by doing so.

I would look for GREAT things to come of Orion, PPI and A/D/S, they will fix what was wrong with them and they will only make better with the good.

No tech support? I called them yesterday with a few questions and there was someone on the other side of the phone. If there is a problem with repairing products its probably due to the restructuring of the companies and not because of doors closing.
