CD changer on a 2000 F-150

Can someone please tell me where the changer would be located at on a 2000 F-150. I'm thinking of putting a changer in my truck but don't want to put it under the back seat.

What seat do you have? If you have a spit bench many aftermarket CD changers can be put under the center part of the seat.

This is what I did

If not my factory cd changer was in the right rear corner of the cab

Depends (not the adult diapers!)

If you are getting the pieces to do the work, you could mount it anywhere you want.

Depending on the seat confg. & the truck, it is normally mounted behind the rear seat on a extended cab or super crew with bench front seats, or can be mounted in the center console if you have the captians chairs.

In my 01 SuperCrew, I mounted mine in the center console, but not in the side like it would have come from Ford.

The biggest thing I would not like about the behind the sear mount is that you have to get out to change the CD's in the changer.

Here is a thread I started & completed with some pictures:

With the adapter cable, I could have mounted the changer just about anywhere I wanted as it was long enough.
