CD changer brands

Where are you guys placing your cd changers at? I am thniking about adding one to my truck since the factory CD player can be equiped with one. Any thoughts on placement or brands that work best? Thanks

As far as brand, you will need to use whatever your head unit supports. If you are keeping the factory head you will need the factory changer which is made by Clarion but modified to speak to the Visteon head. Factory location would be best as the wiring may already be there, if not you will need the harness and bracket from Ford as well. If you do not need to have it controlled by the head you could buy an FM modulated one with its own controller. This could be reused if you later replaced the head with a unit that controlled it directly.
