Aux input question for radio

I know this is probably going to be a dumb question, but I just bought this truck and don't know how to find a quick answer.

The truck is a 2004 Lariat. It has a multi disc CD player. The original sticker says "Dual Media". It has an "Aux" button.

My question is what would I need to do to make the Aux button functional so that I can plug an Ipod into it?

Are there other F150 radios (perhaps from salvage) that I could buy that would have a jack to plug in???

I don't know why it would have an Aux button if there is no way for it to function, but like I said this is probably a dumb question.

Easy as P.I.E: https://www.f150online.com/forums/f-...head-unit.html

OR - A radio out of a 2007-2008 will have the Aux input enabled. Be sure to get the new 'tray' (black thang @ center/top of the dash) with the 3.5mm audio jack as well.

good luck

Right above the radio on top of the dash is the Aux port. You have a lariat you should have one, my FX4 has one.

(Satellite Radio if equipped). If no auxiliary sources are available, NO

I have the Isimple adapter for the Iphone...Its about $ 100, but has worked almost flawlessly...you can run and charge an Iphone up to Iphone 4 (Iphone 5 and up if you get the Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter), and one headphone jack and one set of phono plugs...so up to 3 items...

I have been using since 05...but had one burn out about 4 years ago...just replaced the box...Still $ 100 at Best Buy...It installs in about 10 minutes with the harness adapter...

Regards!!

Another option would be hooking up a FM modulator with a 3.5 input for audio from any 3.5mm head phone jack IE cell phones, Ipods or any media with that jack.
