Wiring adapter

Hey guys i am a newbe here......I have just bought a 1998 F150 for $650, it needs a fuel pump and a few other things to make it a daily driver. I pulled out the factory am/fm stereo and am gonna replace it with a 2005 factory am/fm/cd stereo out of a explorer sportage. Does anyone know the part number from ford, or where i can get the wiring adapter to go from the old radio to the newer one? I have searched the web, and cant come up with an answer. Thankyou in advance for any info you can give me......Don

Im assuming you mean explorer Sport Trac? The Sportage is a Kia model...

The wiring harnesses you need is Metra 71-5520 into the explorer radio and 70-1771.

Then that radio must not have been out of an 05. Anything 04+ truck from Ford uses the newer harness. Glad you got it figured out thoughl
