DC Power is one of the more respected companies - they rebuild alternators to higher outputs for industrial and public sector companies, such as bus manufacturers and other heavy industry.

Alot of the "HO" in most HO alts simply comes from overdriving the alternator by way of a change in pulley diameter, severly diminishing the lifespan of the alt.

And for 90 percent of installs, you are not going to be running at full tilt every time you use the system, particularly considering music does not result in continuous current draw. Invest your money in a good battery and other inexpensive electrical upgrades before pulling the trigger on an alt.
