Post Polk MOMO Setup!

Hey all..

I'm considering a POLK MOMO Setup in my truck.
- 6 1/2 Components
- 2 10" Subs

What should I use for the rear fill in the crappy back speaker location?

From my understanding, these babies are power hungry! How much power should I run to the Subs.. and Speakers?

Thanks.

Getting Installed As We Speak:

- 6" RCD Lift
- Weld Outback 16X8.25 Wheels
- BFG MT 35's
- Billet Grill
- Leather Seats
- LineX Bedliner

Coming Attractions:

- Exhaust (FM or Gibson)
- Tint
- Stereo System

Will Post Pictures When Done!

Good Choice!
Go to eBay and bid $599+ Polk MM465 for under $300!!! One of the top component kits around...
Mine have been ordered and should be coming in next week.
I am going to drive them with a Sony Xplod 75w x 2.
As far as the rr is concerned, I am going with some plain 5x7 Coaxials

Good luck to you,

Beach Cruiser;
Ditto what 2001L_Gato_Rojo said...I'm running mine off a Crunch 100x4, which is probably equivalent to 2001L_Gato_Rojo's Sony. The Momo's handle it with ease. I don't know what the subs are rated at, but I looked at them, and they are built like a tank. They have a very deep mounting depth. I don't think they'll fit under the seat, will they?

Just be aware the the Polk MOMO speakers are, or will soon be, discontinued. Don't know if you care about that or not though...

I'm a member of Polk Audio club and a true believer in their home speakers ( have a pair built in 87 and they are still smoking)
Yes, Napsterman is correct, the MOMO line is leaving Polk Audio, I can't give you anty time frame, but
the words out, so BEWARE......

Damn.. well that sucks. I guess I'll find a different system for my truck. I've also been looking at a few other companies.

Speakers:

* Boston Pro Series
* MB Quart
* Infinity Kappas
* JL Audio

Subs:

* Boston 10" Pro
* Solobarics
* MTX 6000 Series
* JL 10" (W6's won't fit! dammit)

Any input appreciated.
