So, whats the best bang for the buck sound killing mat out there? And where's the best place to get it from? I'll be switching my F-250 from carpet to vinyl floors here soon, so I figured this would be a good time to do it while I have everything out. Plus, I want to keep the inside quiet.

I've used them all first hand, and by far the best bang for the buck mat is Raamat. It is very reasonably priced and is very high quality.
Damplifier Pro and Dynamat Extreme are the only other good mats ive used and would consider, and both are thicker than Raamat, but almost twice as expensive. Raamat is also super flexible compared to those others. You dont need to pre-heat it, it is butyl based, very easy to install.
Yeah, super flexible is good... This will be going on the floor of the truck. Not exactly super flexible. Will the Raamat stand up to people's feet on it?
I wouldnt leave just the sound mat in there for a week until you put in carpet if that is what you are suggesting, do the install all at once. start in the center and work towards the doors.
Ive used E-dead with great results on my truck, Jwool's and another friend of mine's truck

How expensive is Edead? I'm only looking at doing my floor right now. And it won't just be the sound mat in there on the floor by itself. Everything will be done at once... I'm just wondering how the sound mat will hold up to the thin (thinner than carpet) rubber flooring I'm planning on buying.
it should be fine. If you are really worried about it, E-Dead has a paint on sound deadener (i used it on my doors)
I paid i think about 170 shipped with 120 sq ft and a gallon of blue deadener. Ill look up the order to be sure, but thats what i think i got.
they offer 10% off for forum members, so do the order over the phone and tell them you are a forum member.

Yes the Raamat will stand up to people standing on it. I'd go with one of the Butyl based deadeners, as their adhesive is much stronger and they are very easy to apply (no pre-heating or painting required, no dealing with liquid etc). They also hold up to heat much much better than the others.
Check out that article it explains all of this in detail.
Are you planning to put the deadener on the bare metal of the floor underneath the flooring you are getting? That is usually the best thing to do.
