Calling audio gurus! Need help.

OK Im ready to get some sound in this but dont want to spend a whole bunch. However this is where I am so far. I have 5x7 polk 571 in all 4 doors and Im ordering a pioneer nav system Avic 900BT soon. So knowing that would this sub/amp/enclosure work decent for me? I only listen to country,rock, and some rap. I like more refined bass it doesnt need to be boomy.

This enclosure-

10" cutout with black carpet.

This subwoofer-

and this amp-

How do you think that entire setup will sound? Im a noob at car audio...

Well, all is good but the amp. Buying from sonix is part of the reason this industry is in the tank. I wont even look at their website.

what's wrong with them? I've never ordered from them directly. directly I say because onlinecarstereo and woofersect both look like they are problably the same place running multiple sites (along with sonic).

Setup is good but I'd think you'd be better off with a amp that's a bit more powerful. That way you don't have to push the amp full throttle to get the max performance from the sub.

Anyone know where I can get a decent amp for around the same price? O and it has to be small so I can mount it under the seat....

Sonix, woofers, etc. are cheap sites, they sell all products WAYY below retail, matter of fact sometimes at or 5% above cost. This causes people that come in to the stores to think that we are the bad guys. In turn, no sales = industry in the tank. Ive seen a projection somewhere that 1/3 installers will be w/o a job by April next year. And it will further decline from there. CCity (this is all "rumors") might be looking to close car audio in 25-30% of stores by Jan 21. And the list goes on and on.

Ya' know.....

it's the same thing as the whole "Wal-Mart" situation..... They treat their employees like garbage..... They put mom and pops places out of business..... they buy all kinds of stuff from overseas, where poor starving people work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, for pennies.......

> All for my benefit :-) Thanks Wal-Mart.

Hey I just bought a Rockford Fosgate Power Amp 1000 '25 to life' with an MSRP of $1299 for $499 from Sonic Electronix. Sure, I'd have paid $1000 for it from a walk-in store if A) I had money coming out my ears, and B) a walk-in store even carried this amp.

Yes, I know walk-in stores (especially the smaller mom-and-pops stores) give MUCH better service, after the purchase.

But I think people need to decide what they can afford, and how much that service is worth to them. For me, 10% more.... maybe. 50% to 100% more... nope. Sorry. I still need to eat this month.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, here shortly I will be buying an Alpine CDA-9887 deck. I have found it online for $319...... However, to get the full benefit from this deck, there is a kit (a small micro-phone, and software) for this decks 'Imprint Technology' set up. This kit costs another $150.
So, on one of the stereo forums, a guy had mentioned that he bought this deck from a walk in place, and paid a little more for it..... But the walk-in store, used that kit (that they kept in their shop) to do the 'Imprint Tech' thing for him.... saving him $150. To me, that would be well worth it.
In fact, I'm currently looking for a reputable walk-in store to buy my deck from.... but only one who will do my 'Imprint Technology' setup for me, like they did for that guy.
Peace,
Fish
Man I was right there with ya 3 days ago. Untill this morning when we dropped off my fiancess accord to get her Avic700BT and sub/amp/box installed. And it was a place I used in that past along time ago. Well out of the main places in our area this place rocks. Best prices, best service, and best installs. I asked how much a premier Avic90bt would be, thinking hed say $1200 like everyone else. Nope, $804, I almost hit the floor. I specked out the whole system and it was cheaper installed with them than to buy the stuff from sonix........Im a changed man. Im using them from now on.
Well.....
what / where is that place ??? Heck, I'm open to anything that will get me the products / services I want, for a better deal. And just to reitterate, "I do believe that quality service has a $ value" as well.
On the other hand, at least with the amp I just bought, even the other Internet places wanted $150 to $200 more than Sonic did.
Of course I'm not one to just pick one place, and then use them for everything either. Like I said, I'm looking for a dealer to get my deck from. While I plan to buy my speakers online, but not from Sonic.
Peace,
Fish
