Help me pick a battery

i am going to be running a zx1500@2ohms and a zx850.4 for my comps so around 2200rms

i have big 3 in 1/0 and a 130amp alt and a gold duralast battery the specs are O.E. group size: 65 *** 875 cold cranking Amps (1000 cranking Amps)

currently have around 1200rms no big 3 and the duralast and 130amp alt and at idle its in the high 11's low 12's on bass notes

so i will have that as of now and looking to put a battery in the back and run pos and neg to the back battery

wat would be the best battery for the back that can keep up with the power

thanks

So, when the bass is pumping it gets higher voltage than normal... Interesting, sign me up for that.

Duralast = Crap.

So you do and dont have the big 3?? Pick one please.

130A alt... 2200/12 = 183A. Great choice there.

2 runs... Since you have a unibody thats a damn good idea...

You need to have everything straight before you start with the amps. But hell, start a few more threads about it and dont listen and we (or CA.com) will see whats up later.

sorry i do have the big 3 done and i want to get away with not having to upgrade my alt so i was looking at a batcap2k or hc2400 for the back and keep stock battery upfront

or for the same price as the other two i can get two stinger spv 70s and put one up front and one in the back

and unibody whats that mean

Your best bet is to upgrade the alternator first then add a second battery if you still need it. I suggest a yellow top Optima or a Kinetic (strictly as a secondary battery), but at the same time once you drop $180-300 on a battery just a $100-200 more and you could have a powerful aftermarket alternator.

Shoot I see you already asked that over on CA forums after I did a search on the batcap since I've never heard of them.

well i see alot of people get away with a stock alt and just put a big batt in the back and a good one upfront and run some serious power

db-electrical is that a decent brand for alt

the stock alt is only good for about 1200 watts rms anything above that and the voltage drops. if your dropping below 12.6 on a regular bassis you should probably look into a HO alternator
