General Audio Question....

I have an amp and a sub that I would like do install in my truck. Is the '08 factory head unit good enough to leave in, or should I install my Alpine? The reason I ask is, I don't think I'd be able to use the Sirius Satellite without the factory head unit. Any input is appreciated.

factory head unit is fine but aftermarket is better, and if the alpine is siruis ready then it is obviously compatible

if the alpine is sat ready, then you would have to buy the sirius box for the new HU.

P.S. The alpine will be better than the factory HU.

the alpine is better audio quality (i have one), but i personally prefer the button layouts and interface of stock radios. even if the ALpine is sat ready, you will probably have to buy a alpine sirius tuner which is probably going to be expensive
