Anti-"boom car" Websites...what a joke!

So I stumbled across this on the internet today, pretty hilarious.

http://www.lowertheboom.org/

Plenty of websites just like it.

Click on "the problem" and read.

These are some of my favorites, ahahaha:

- "You are leery of confronting an offender for fear you might be shot."

- "Boom car operators are often associated with many other types of crimes."

- "Boom cars are often used to announce the receipt of a new drug shipment to a neighborhood."

- "The aggressive nature of the perpetrators has directly lead to the murders of innocent victims."

- "It is often too difficult, if not impossible, to identify the perpetrator of acoustic terrorism due to distances, speed, and physical obstacles, thus preventing the reporting of an offense."

Some people...

Don't get me wrong, it's a little ignorant to be blasting your music at funerals and weddings. Or early in the morning/late at night. But how bothered can somebody really be by a car driving by with loud music? They make it sound like people with loud stereos enjoy angering people, and target them by following them around all day pointing loudspeakers at them, laughing their asses off.

To a certian extent I agree with them...I absolutley HATE it when I hear some punk arse driving down the street with thier chit blasting...as much as I love audio, that is one thing that annoys the HELL out of me. I dont even like to be seen riding with someone who has it turned up where there are people.

However, these "Lower the Boom" people take it WAY to far, to the point of just being idiotic. Relating EVERYONE with a 'boom car' to crime and labeling them as 'thugs, wanna be's, etc" Directing the loud music at everyone just to piss them off. Loud music bringing on anger of the people that actually want it loud....come on, some of the **** on that site is just rediculous.

Then again if we didnt have idiots blaring their chit at every stop light and while driving around town we wouldnt have this problem.

My **** is turned WAY down whether Im sitting at a busy intersection, running though the business section of a city, stopped on the highway for road contruction....anywhere there are people or might be people, no matter what time of day it is.
Only once Im out on the highway, interstate, in the country, etc do I turn it up.

Let me tell you what, if loud car stereos in the ghetto automatically mean "a new drug shipment"...then every car that rolls through there has one

I have a fairly loud system in my truck but I respect the ears of others. I don't crank it up while sitting at a red light are driving through residential areas. However on the highway I crank the volume way up.

When it comes to just annoying people with loud systems driving through neighborhoods or when they are close to me at a red light have to use the equalizer....you would be surprised what 800w on 18 mhz does to the components to an audio amp, especially when installed incorrectly.

A new shipment....

I have mine turned up loud everywhere except for neighborhoods. I dont want someone to know I have something in my truck, which would invite a break in.

My buddy on the other hand, is a friggin idiot. Has his as loud as possible blaring some of the chittiest music EVER!!! And no matter how much anyone tells him to stop he dont listen, thought its a good early warning system to know he is at my house

Kid down the street in his little Honda spent 2 days installing a system. I could hear him coming 6 blocks away.

It's all quiet now. One of his "buddies", stole the car, ripped out the system and drove the car into the water.

Police did a search warrant at the house and found pieces of the stereo and other stuff stolen from the car and house.

Honda is now on blocks.

And very, very quiet.
