So I bought the wrong CB antenna by mistake, don't ask me how I managed to do that because I have no idea. this is what I got http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-GLASS-MOUNT-...QQcmdZViewItem
just wondering if I were to get the correct connectors for it would it still work?

Short answer no it wont work. I would buy a stake pocket mount and a fiberglass antenna with a quick disconect and 18ft coax cable. The reason the antenna you purchased wont work is that you will not get your SWR readings low enough to get much distance and you run the chance of harming your radio in the process. You also want to get a good coax dont go cheap when it comes to coax as you will get better performnace out of the better coax. For the set up I suggested above you should expect to spend about 80 bucks. Here is a link to a CB supplier I llike to use and there staff is always ready and willing to answer questions. Hope this helps.

I second this, the antenna you bought is for a scanner-no need for tuning on scanner antennas because of the range of frequencies used-BUT WILL NOT WORK ON A CB . A cb is more precise and needs to have the antenna tuned to the vehicle. Fiberglass antennas are generally the best for our trucks-mount on the bed rail-if you can do the roof mount is best but generally to tall for our trucks.

Here is my setup-smaller antenna is scanner-Pics are big sorry-cant figure out how to make smaller
