I haven't finalized my install yet, but i did mount a Motorola CM300 UHF in the storage bin under the ash tray on my '08. It does stick out acouple inches, but it looks like it will work there. I'll try and get pix up when it's finished.

I did get the radio installed, and the pocket under the cup holders works well. I did take some pix afew days ago, but the lighting wasn't good, and I am planning on shooting some better ones. I can post the ones I have now if you'd like. The pocket isn't tall enough to install the radio with the mount bracket. It's taperd towards the back, and the CM300 fits snug. I did place a small strip of 3M double stick tape on the rear of the radio housing to secure it. The tape is plenty strong to hold it, but it isn't strong enough that the radio couldn't be removed without damage. I drilled two holes in the rear of the pocket for the power cable and antenna coax to exit. The power wire is run to a 150 amp circuit breaker we installed under the hood. My power for the lights is also run on this breaker, so in the event we need to disconnect power to protect these items, a push of the switch does the trick. I mounted the antennas and rotating lights on a rack made by Extreme Racks (Go Rhino!). It looks sweet and I didn't drill holes in the roof. If you have any questions, or request better pictures please ask.
