Kenwood 7015 Install

Hey everyone,
I just got my new HU and am a little confused about whole ground wire thing. I see there are three wires a yellow that goes to the constant power. A ground. And a green that goes to the parking brake. If I understand correctly is everyone grounding the green wire as well as the black to be able to view the tv while driving?

Thanks!

Yeah just run the ground for the parking brake to the same ground that you use for the radio. My sony is the same way and it works fine that way.

Good luck

Hey MotorPsycho911,
Did you have any other issues installing your 7015? I am installing mine on Monday, and would like to know of any surprises. Thanks in advance!

No, it was pretty simple, you will need the installation kit though. I got mine a Circuit City. Other than that whole thing with the parking brake it was just like any other radio install.

Good Luck!

All you have to do is connect the yellow wire on the emergency brake harness to the yellow wire on the regular radio harness. Then ground the green and the black wire. Should be fine after that. Good Luck!!

What kind of system did you replace? Was it the audiophile? If so, how does the speakers and subwoofer sound with it and was it easy to connect the 7015 with the audiophile system?

Thanks

I'm not sure what all those are for, I just tied them off out of the way. There are some mute feature that you can use so that if some calls you on your cell phone the volume will automatically decrease on you radio. I think it has something to do with that but I just left it alone.
