avital remote start, where they hide the key?

The key for PATS 'bypass' that is hidden in my truck needs to be re-coded due to a new ECM. I am assuming it is very close to the ignition switch or in the actual avital 4100 box? Any and all help appreciated.

There may not be a key hidden in the truck. Professional PATS bypasses are electronic units that emulate a key. If you don't know how it was installed then I suggest finding a good remote start install shop and having them take care of it.

If a key-sac was used itll be in a tiny black box under the dash. Take the lower panel piece down and see if it has wires ran up to your key tumbler, if it does just follow those wires and youll find the box.
