9005 silverstars in round fogs???? UPDATE PLEASE READ!

Ok I am putting Silerstar H13ST's in my truck today and I see that a lot of guys are running 9005 high beam bulbs in the fogs. The problem is i have round fog lamps and am worried about the heat cooking them, is anyone running the 9005's in their fogs????

I'll try tem out and let everyone know how they turn out, but coming in to winter I'm not sure overheating is going to be that big of an issue. See what happens!!!

Just put them in and ran them, driving around they don't get hot. But as soon as you go through town slow and stop they are really hot to the touch (not melting temperature but hot). Tomorrow I am going to leave them on all the way to work and see how hot they are after the drive. Jury is still out???? Anyone else have some input!!

I have an update, I drove to work with the fogs on for about half an hour. As soon as I got to work I got out and touched the lights....WOW they were smoking hot. Hot enough to burn your hands, I'll be changing them back. My drive is not stop and go but pretty straight 90km/hr drive, and the temp outside was 10 degrees C. So if you have round fogs do NOT run the 9005 bulbs in them!!!

I've been running 9005 in my round fogs for close to a year with no problems. They always come on with the headlights at night so they're on alot. I keep them clean all the time to prevent more heat build up. I'm also thinking that if they do melt I'll get new Hellas or something.
