shelby heat extractor

Hey guys Im thinking about doing this mod to my truck but I want to put it towards the back of the hood, it will be done on a stock hood, not the current roush one I have. Let me know what you guys think, and are there any issues with water by having the vent toward the back? I cant imagine enough water would dump into there to cause damage but it does rain alot here in FL so who knows when its going to be sitting outside in a down pour.

thanks for the help and heres the thread Im taking this off of...
