Bugshield drama Need help uninstalling!!

My truck came with a bug shield attached by what appear to be plastic screws.
I tried to unscrew them after wanting to see what the truck looked like without it on and to clean it better, but they are just stripping and turning with no result. Does anyone have any advice?

Try prying the screw head up with a thin flat screw driver. EDIT: Then unscrew it.

Yeah I have some. It looks like it is one wide screw but it some sort of spacer/washer is what it looks like. It spins around too when I try and unscrew it. The shield itself is loose some but they dont want to unscrew anymore.

do what jmc said.

pry the washer piece or the head of the screw up and then try unscrewing.

these things break easy so if you want to go that route, don't be afraid to. replacements can be found at lowe's for cheap.

Thanks for the help guys. Ended up just breaking the damn things, stupid designing if you ask me. Looked as though they were made to go in but not come out. Yep.... that and I cracked the bug shield >.< Oh well, not sure if I will like it yet or not.

If the shield is not cracked in two, drill a small hole at the end of the crack. This will relieve the stress and keep the crack from spreading.

This looks like my original which I've gotten rid of. If so, push hard against the screw when loosening and/or push against the shield so it can keep the plastic piece that gets screwed into from moving.
