Next month im buying some e-fans

Probably going to get the Troyer Performance Dual 16" Electric Fan Kit.

Any thoughts or suggestions on my decision?

mine should be here friday

alot of people like troyers but alot will say FAL or SPAL.

i recommend doing UD pulleys as well, best bang for your buck along with efans

Dont know much about pulleys yet so that will be a new adventure in a few months.

EDIT: oh and the think i like about the troyers the most is that there 16" all the other duals are 14" or lower that i have found and there also the s shape

pulleys are really quite easy to do, takes about 3 hours if you dont really know what your doing.

i would get the combo package of troyer efans and ud pulleys

The Troyer kit is super nice, comes with every single thing you need. I'm still waiting for my Gryphon to come back so I can install mine

Why? I have seen some of the custom tune request forms. Have always wanted too know what diff efans makes on a custom tune. Other than turning off the PCM controlled factory fan clutch.

Oh no reason like that, just so I can use it to read the coolant temp to turn the fan controllers on with.

I would suggest you get this kit. Best one on the market and at a discounted price. Cheaper than Troyer and probably twice the quality. It has been on the market for years without mjor problems. Troyer has been switching around stuff to try and get his stable for awhile now.

That kit is only for 97-04, not for the 04-08. I don't know what is different, just pointing it out.

flex-a-lite is a good company nice quality but there the basic fans i like the S shape blades and enclosures on the troyers

I have the same kit installed on my '06. I honestly did not see much difference in the instructions. The fuse panel is in a different location and what not but all the basic things are the same.

If you do with the Troyer style fans I would suggest a better controller. I think this is were Troyers kit does lack quality. He has upgraded the mounting which is a very good thing.

Spal, Flex a lite's VSC and DC Controller seem to be at the top of the list when it come to quality controllers. Anyways, good luck with the EFan. I makes the engine compartment a lot cleaner looking. I would suggest good crimping and heat sink tubing on all the connections.

Troyer changed the controller a few months ago, the new one is problem free.

What ever kit you get, I would not use any plastic ties or straps through the fins. They quite often rub a hole in a water tube. Make some alum straps if the kit does not provide them. This guy, Patman03SprCrw, has installed several. I would suggest PMing him for additional info. He knows a lot about the set ups.

Time will tell if Troyer got it right this time or not. I feel bad for all the people that bought the old product over the years and had to deal with the problems.
