Feel free to let us know when your 40 dollar controller melts and your fans stop working. I will bet that happens long before mine. I would also imagine your rad will pop a leak before the fans have a chance to break as I have seen in your other thread you have mounted them through the core.

Good luck and sleep well knowing you bought the cheapest set up you could find.
Just an FYI, 2 of my Troyer / Derale controllers from my Troyer kit burned out....The mounting kit that Troyer supplied with his fan kit wore holes into my radiator and caused leaking and the need for a new radiator.

I think I paid well over $400 plus shipping for a kit that wasn't very reliable or dependable and now I need a new radiator...all and all with the cost of the replacement controllers and new radiator it wound up costing me serveral hundred more on top of the initial $400....

I certainly wish I would have gotten better quality and longevity out of the expensive fan kit I bought...

I guess better doesn't always cost more.......

Just my .02 cents

Sorry to here this. I have been trying to tell people this for awhile. Troyer has done nothing to help the people he sold junk products to for years. Now says he has it all fixed. What about all the prior costumers? And what if he doesn't have it fix?

Good luck.

My Troyer kit was installed for a little over 2.5 years, in that time 2 controller died and my radiator developed leaks do to the install kit that was included with the kit.

The kit was installed per Troyers instructions included with the kit.

I had heard about the older Troyer kits and the issues they had. I did a lot of reading before I went with this kit. The two main problems being the controllers and mounting through the core. Both have been resolved but time will tell.

I can't fault Troyer for the mounting kit as all aftermarket electric fans were mounted through the core for years. That was just the way it was done. I know because I am going through this with the one on my Mustang. Do I blame the person I bought it from? No. Unless Troyer had a way to see into the future there was no way to know what was to happen.

How long should a company warranty their product? I wish they all had lifetime warranties but no company could survive by doing that. I would like to see that you got a deal on the new controllers if they were not covered under the warranty period but it is not my company. The upside is at least the fans still work after 2.5 years.

I guess any time you mod a vehicle you take a risk that it will not work out they way you planned. I accept that. Better quality almost always costs more money but as a consumer it is up to us to make sure we are getting what we pay for. I feel that with this kit we are but again time will tell.

Good points. I think that Troyer did the right thing by coming up with a new kit... he understood his customers were having issues with the original kit. If he didn't care, he would have continued to sell crap.
