I've got an idea, lower the spare and insert a piece of pipe thru the back of the receiver, then you can use a hammer on the pipe to drive the drawbar out.

Sorry Raoul, I missed that in your post.

Must be the drugs I'm on for my back.

Mine is stuck to! i pulled the pin out and hit it with a sledge hammer for 10 minutes trying to get it out with no success. the holes were still lined up perfectly. i even hooked it to my friends jeep and tried pulling it out and it wouldnt come out.

there is a welded cover behind it so i can not put a piece of pipe in there to hit it with...

A safer way to do it (if the back is open like mine) would be to back up against a solid cement structure and make contact. The slowly apply the throttle and maybe the receiver will be forced into the tube more, which will break it from it's bonds. Then you can just pull it out

Well what I would do is go down to the local Chevy Dealer, ask to look at the new trucks you have a question about their towing, then back your truck up hook chain up and mash your gas pedal. Please video tape this for us

everyones talkin about the same thing lol. bet it in or out... idk about you but my receivers all have lots of play vertically. beat it in every direction, something has to break it loose if its not welded. if not i'd unbolt it then use a press to get er done!

I like this option, but seeing the neighbor may not you might just see if he is up for a pull off instead
and we are gonna need a video if you do it

along with the torch and hammer idea try hooking a comealong to it to pull on it while you heat and hammer. this will help it move when the heat swells the outer tube and the vibration from the hammer breakes it loose. this may not be video worthy but it might help. it has worked on many pto shafts where i work.

well you might wanna consider most ppl dont have much for heat other than propane torch. oxy/acetelyne will do the trick but ya probably have to paint.

Well I guess your playing to nice more lube and a bigger hammer its just rusted in there ,backing into a wall or using a chain sounds like a problem waiting to happen.

take the hitch off and press it out only 4 bolts to pull the hitch...

Make sure to use a heavy chain, or better yet a 30,000lb tow strap. Chains break and can do serious damage. There was a guy on here a while back that was using a chain. It broke and sent the hook into the windshield. I like the back it into the wall thing if you hitch is not open in the back.
