Dual 16" derale fans would be great.

As far as controllers go. Either a DC Controller unit or the new VSC from Flex-a-lite is the best in my opinion.

Yea, the 3018-M or 3018-E looks good. Well, it should fit in the 03 Expedition radiator (about 20 tall, 28 wide), don't know how tall the F150 radiator is.

I'm just wondering... what's the differences between these expensive controllers and a cheap one that just reads coolant temp? I'm not one to cut corners on anything with my truck which is why I'm asking... what are the advantages of spending $100-$250 just for a controller???

well the cheap $35 controllers like the ones you can get at autozone just turn the fan on and off according to the engine temp. better controllers like the DC controller slowly ramps up the speed of the fan as the motor warms up so that the fan is never running at full power. this is good because it uses less electricity so you want have charging issues if your running UD pulleys or if you have a large system or both.

I'm running pulley's and EFans. I have the Ford upgraded system with the subwoofer. Everything seems to be holding up good so far.

My setup was pretty small...35W x 4 Kenwood amp and a 100W MTX subwoofer amp. I never had any issues with running out of juice w/the e-fans.

me. the system i have consists of, a cap, 2 amps, 2 subs, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. no charging problems at all, but i attribute the lack of problems to the DC controller that i have running my efans.

Lenore,

I think you sold me on the Lincoln fan and the FK35. I want to know one thing though. you said you extended the fan shround on the lincoln fan around 6 inches i think (can't find the post). question is, how did you go about doing that? what's the process? thanks.
