Anyone with the an '04 or newer. Where did you make your AC and 12v connections for the fan?

FAL270 instructions only cover the 97-03 model. Fuse panel seems to be different.

I piggyback the 12v line on the wires going to the compressor for the AC and piggyback the ign line to a wire in the plug up by the battery and firewall. There is a plug which hangs there and I found a switch 12v wire. Sorry I should have taken pictures.

Does anyone have a picture or can take a picture of where they tapped the 12v on source for an '04 + F-150?

Love the throttle response. And the truck is noticeably quieter. Engine is staying right at temp. My $169 kit rocks bigtime so far.
where did you get the Mark VIII fan? junkyard?

Yes the junkyard, but I have discovered that the later model thunderbirds with the v8 also have the exact same fan as the MARK VIII. A 18 inch seimens motor that puts out 4300 cfm. Just a side note: the Fan in my Truck originally was only 19inches. interesting....

that is why I went with the DC controls controller, It soft starts the fan and speed controls the fan, at 3700cfm the Lincoln fan is only drawing 15amps. But it also depends on what you have put in your truck, If you have a sound system that draws a lot of juice, the alternator can strain real fast.

Yes I did, I made mounting brackets of my own design. See my gallery pictures. Nice thing is just two screws and unplug the original lincoln fan connector and the whole things comes out for service....take a look at my pictures.

I had dual fans, and steggered the turn-on temps just a little bit...so that they didn't turn on together at the exact same time.
