The 9" hasn't been used since the VERY early 80s, so you're only 25 years or so out on that one. If its got a 5.4L it should have a 9.75 in it. If you've got a 4.6L or 4.2L it should be an 8.8. The 10.25 I think was only used with the 7700lb towing package. Its been awhile since I looked at the 04+ F150s, but I think thats still correct.
If you have any question just look at the tag on the freakin diff. I'm guessing you wouldn't try ordering parts without buying the truck first, or at least I would hope you wouldn't. There should be 2 tags held on by the diff cover bolts. One specifies the oil type, the other states the gear ratio, diff type, and axle ID. If all that fails you then you can take your axle code on the door sticker and if you look it up on the charts that are floating all over the internet you can see what you've got.
