2wd F150 on OBX sand?

First off let me describe the truck. Its an 08 regular cab with the 4.2 and the manual transmission. I have a 2.5 AS leveling kit installed and Im running almost new 265/70-17 Dunlop Radial Rover AT's. Im going to camp on the outer banks of NC with the family and was wondering if anyone had any more pointers for driving on the sand than I have already compiled?
-air the tires down to 12-13 lbs
-carry a shovel and a bucket to scoop water up with, in case stuck
-carry boards with me to help get out when stuck, to put under the tires
-I will have a 4wd wrangler with me at all times and we have plenty of straps.
-Im not new to the wheeling world as I used to a lot of rock crawling on my straight axle'd tacoma, this will just be my first time on sand......and first time wheeling with 2wd!

The sand at OBX is usually pretty packed where all the other vehicles drive(I have been to OBX before, just not with a vehicle on the beach)The only part I am worried about is the access ramps(which are small sand hills you must go over to access the beach) and stopping near the high tide line to set up the towels and umbrellas on the beach. From what I understand momentum is the key on the beach.
Any other tips Im missing? any help is appreciated....
Thanks
Josh

i have an OBS 2wd 4.2 and granted its lighter than your NBS, i just crawl through the sand here at our beach. I don't stay on the packed sand, i get out and drive through the soft stuff that everyone steers clear of. i carry a tow strap, but only to pull others out. i think with how much your bringing you will be okay.

ok, sorry for the late reply. BUT, the truck did awesome on the sand. I never had even one sketcky spot where I started to loose traction. The ticket for my truck was 12 lbs in the front tires and 10 lbs in the rear. This wasnt hardpacked sand either. I watched a few fullsize 4wds get stuck because they didnt think they needed to air down......suckas....lol.

Interesting. Glad to hear you did so well. Does your truck have a limited Slip? Or does all the NBS's have LS now?
