interesting, those bumps would be bone jarring if that was real life scale, but then again the tires would absorb alot more then they are on those RCs

those things are awsome. my buddy has a lightning and a ralley car, and theyre pretty fast. the lighting isn't quite as detailed as those F350s though. if they made a video of just the white one they could probably fool some people into thinking it was life size, almost makes you wanna go get one..till you see the price
dam thats cheap. i paid 34 bucks for the 645mg's with only 133oz i think. cant wait to get it in though so i can start building it
I didn't even check your link, just did and I wow. I was aware Tamiya was releasing a crawler but that thing looks competition ready. What are the specs on it? Looks like a slick ride. I see Spring listed in your location, is that Spring , Tx?
if i can find some i would love to try competitions out once i get used to it. are there alot in the houston area?
what kind of controller are you using?
We have competitions once a month. The group is probably between 15-20 people. To be honest I have not been active but I have been when I have time. The locations vary from the Woodlands to College Station and everywhere in between.
I am using a AM cheap transmitter, I have a MARS I was thinking about hooking up but for crawling it is overkill. I am usually going under 2 mph and giving it less than 10% throttle so having a great trans is not a huge issue
id for sure be into that. ill be back in town thanksgiving and about a month around christmas if anythings going on.
still need to get a gear reduction unit when i get the money. choices of 2:1,3:1,4:1, what would u suggest for rock crawling? im assuming one w/ most torque would be best for climbing rocks

Im using a 4:1, after all you can always use a slightly larger pinion if you need more wheel speed. My rig tops out at maybe 7 mph, never gets even close to that on the rocks. Lower gears give you more control in tough situations also
