More Fun at Rancho, and some saddness...

OK well heres the deal. Me and Minimonster went out to Rancho Thursday afternoon (4pm-ish). Had a BLAST all day took lots of pictures. I even brought along my daughter and she played in the mud alittle.

There really wasnt much mud just alot of water. still fun but kinda a pain... as you will see in just a sec.

HOWEVER... right before we leave i decide to make one more run though a fairly deep hole id been in 3-4 times before. well disaster strikes truck hits the water and turns off. Im already sure i got water in the engine so i take the intake apart and water gushes out. well we back up his truck and pull mine out onto dry land. Remove the spark plugs and turn the truck over a few times, this cleaned out ALOT of water. The we put the plugs back in and the truck wouldnt start. after enough gas i got it started but there was a really bad knock in the engine. so i shut it down and we tinkered with the plug wires a bit till i broke one. DUH.

So its close to 8pm and discount closes at 9 so we start towin my truck out of rancho with a 20' strap that was closer to 15' the way it was hooked up. So we tow the truck for about 40 minutes and i know we arent gonna make it before discount closes. So we park my truck on the side of 301 and book it for the parts store. We make it with 3 minutes to spare.

I buy the parts (plugs and wires) and decided agianst going back and changing them. I call up my X's stepdad that lived nearby and asked him to drive me back and load the truck on his trailer. He was right there to lend a helping hand. Once we got the truck on the trailer (barely fit) we headed home at a steady 40mph (the rear tires where very close to slipping off the trailer)

Heres the catch the truck runs but with a bad knock and theres no CEL. I had to drive the truck onto the trailer because the winch wasnt getting the job done. So im gonna be working on it later try to get it fixed hopefully i can salvage my engine!

heres the pictures. stick with me theres alot but there worth it.

warming up before i left
