Exclamation Paragon Offroading Meet July 7-9

It's official!

We're setting up a meet in Hazelton, PA for the weekend of July 7th through July 9th. We'll be meeting Friday night at the campground for some light partying. Saturday, we'll spend a few hours going through the park on some level 1 trails. Saturday night we can do some more drinking and remincing the day's events. Sunday we'll plan on a BBQ at the campground.

Here's a link to Paragon for some details. http://www.paragonap.com/
We won't be doing anything extreme on this trip, so you need not worry about body damage and repairs. I went last weekend with a group of mostly stock Titans and we came out with no scars.

Here's a link to the campground: http://www.gocampingamerica.com/redridgelake/

...and just to get you'all interested, here's a quick video of some of what we did. http://media.putfile.com/Paragon-Compilation

We need a minimum of 3 trucks to qualify as a group for Paragon. It's $35 for a driver for the entire day and $5 for each passenger.

Once we get a few people signed up, we'll start planning on who can bring what supplies for the BBQ, etc.

For those of you who do not want to sleep in the campground, there are a number of local hotels with "Paragon" discounted rated (like $70 compared to a normal $100).

So, who's with me on this adventure!?!?!?!?

Beers ...BBQ ... Wheelin' ... What more can we ask for.

Oh yeh, I'm deff. camping. One question..does anyone have one of those tents that mount to the bed of the truck? I was thinkng about getting one.

I was considering one of those, but some have mentioned that they mount via straps that "can" scratch the paint on the bed.

4X4 Mag just did a writeup on the Coleman 7X7' tent (I forget the model). They said it was pretty decent.

I may buy a foldable canopy as well for us to setup in case of rain. It drizzled a little while on Sunday morning, but we had the fire going with two canopys close by. It was a great time!

Yeh I heard the same thing about the straps, but I figured if I put some microfiber towels between the straps and the truck all it can do then is just buff the paint nice and shiny

I'm gonna look into it. I gotta buy a tent no matter what.

Oh..I sent a PM to everyone that showed intrest in the last thread. All except Howitzer..he doesn't accept PM's...Looser

We have some folks who've already made reservations for the 7th - 9th.

We'll plan another trip in the early fall for those that can't make this one.

Question

Man, I'm sorry to hear that...

There is a chance that we might be rescheduling this entire meet for later in the summer or even in early fall. The overall response just hasn't been all that great.

It's just a busy time of the year, I suppose...

What do you all think? Should we push this back into September or October and hope that gives everyone enough advanced notice to set some time apart for this???

Hey Penquin.. I got your PM the other day, sorry I haven't got back to you. I think rescheduling would be the way to go. I have family coming that weekend and the following weekend. I'm sure I could skip out on one weekend, but it won't be worth it if nobody from here is going anyway. Lets try sometime in September or maybe even August if possible.

Everyone check your calendars and let us know when you can make it..

I'm ok with August or September too. Obviously life may get in the way but if we decide on something early enough I can try and plan around it. Late September would be good for me as we'll be pas the mandatory trip to Ocean City with the kids (which I hate.)
