Avic-z110bt Navi (does is it really work)

I was reading on avic411.com and they were totally bashing the navigation on the avic-z110bt saying that it was sending them in the totally opposite direction and the maps are horrible and out of date. Have any of you experienced this problem. I just wanted to know before i spend $900 on a navi system that is bogus.
Thanks guys

yup. i've read some people on avic411 have trouble getting the radio to understand them when they speak, but i've encountered no such problems in the short period of time with this unit.

I just had it installed on my 2006 supercrew lariat and it works perfect. The nav is great. I just have this annoying "pop" from the factory sub when i start the truck and I dont think it was Hacked right because as soon as i go past 10 mph it gives me the warning to not watch movies while I drive. But Im going back to the shop to have them fix it I hope. But as a whole the unit is flawless so far.

The warning that your receiving is fine. It will give you that warning. As long as you can press ok and see the movie then its working. The pop that your getting is from your factory sub. You will need to read this thread, buy the regulator and have it installed.

Thread you need to read

Fixing the OEM Subwoofer 'POP'.

Regulator you need to buy

Let me know how it works for you
