JVC KW-AVX710 into a 2001 King Ranch

Crutchfield's web site shown that the JVC KW-AVX710 does not fit in the 2001 F150 King Ranch, but it seems that some have "made it work" or am I getting faulty information?

It seems like an OK replacement head unit that allows for a rear view camera install which is what I am looking for.

SO - will this unit fit or will it require some alterations to the dash? Does anyone have a pic or two of an install that they can post?

Deal over at Amazon that I might be able to get the wife to agree to.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, I'm not positive but I have the JVC KW-NX7000, which looks identical to this. I have had it in my '03 Scab and now by '08 Screw without any issues. It was installed by the radio shop but I know all that was required was a trim plate that I paid extra for. I also get them to add the wiring harness so it just plugs into the factory wiring (better for removal and reinstall of factory unit). I also have the Bluetooth option and Sirius option, which are extra. I didn't hook up the back-up camera because I already have the factory one in my rearview mirror.

Double dins will fit in our body style, but you need to do some trimming of the plastic around the opening.
