Got my install finished turned out nice but man did it take a long time to do it right around 8-10 hours total. the over head monitor took the longest. could do the next one faster but didn't want to mess up the head liner since the truck only has 800 miles on it. and all i can say is wow this thing sound a lot better than the stock unit.

Sweet, I have the DNX7100, which is last years model. Basically the same thing but yours is easier to change background. You will love it, it's bad ass and I have had for over year with no problems. I have Bluetooth, Sirius, Video Ipod, Back-up camera, and Nav/DVD hooked up so viewable when vehicle moving. Probably the coolest thing I've put in my 07 FX4...

What happens when you are on a Bluetooth call and you are using the GPS guidance, does it notify you of a turn? I know that the Pioneer does not, causing you to possibly miss a turn.

Thanks!

same thing. It becomes habit for me now to make sure I hit the nav screen after a bluetooth call has been started. At least I can see the map so I can see the turns otherwise "woops"

That sucks!

The JVC unit's nav system still notifies you of a turn while your on the phone.

Can't give you an answer for that as I have no ipod. I thought all you have to do is plug it into the usb port.

I was to get my hands on 6 of my back ordered units last monday when Kenwood issued a nationwide recall on them for a issue with the navigation memory locking up. Makes my wait a little longer. All my customers have been pretty cool about it though but the clock is ticking.
Hope you can answer this..I just purchased a Kenwood Dnx5120. I am able to use the Sirius Sat radio that came with the stock radio with the new kenwood deck. I havent been behind my dash board yet. I gave up installing equipment years ago..

The antenna is re-usable, the tuner is not compatible.

You will need a kenwood sirius tuner for that unit, You can use your factory antenna you just have to remove some of the plastic plug on it i belive. the actual antenna plug is the same just the outside square lock plug is not.
Theres a thread somewhere around here showing how to remove the outer lock plug so that you can use your stock antenna.

Hi guys, I know this may not be the right place for this, but can someone point me in the right path. I have the DNX8120, but for some reason I can't find the setting that allow me to change the bluetooth audio to the drivers side front speaker. currently it is coming from the passenger front speaker.

Thanks

I've had the 8120 since Feb and really like it. Some settings are pretty hidden in some menus, but some searching will find them. Not as easy to change the startup background as kenwood makes it sound, but the write-ups on this site make it a breeze.
