The 8120 also has a 2 year warranty because its an Exelon piece.
Thanks Travis, If you remember we spoke for awhile on the phone. Let me know when the 8120 becomes available.

talked to my rep today. No 8120s yet

I did find out that I am an authorized Audio Control vendor now

I have always liked to use their Overdrive or Matrix Line Drivers to boost the preamp levels. I just used one with a DNX7120 on a customer's truck. He already had the Audio Control Matrix from his previous system. It can put out 13 volts of RCA output!!!

13V it doesn't overdrive the amp and distort?

Now this is an adjustable output. It's just that it peaks out at 13 volts. In order for it to produce a clean output signal it obviously needs a good clean input signal. Nothing less than 2 volts which is what most quality radios have or more. A lot of your amplifiers today will accept up to a 14.4volt preamp input. The stronger the input into your amplifier the better the output and the less gain is needed.

Does the DNX-8120 NAV voices sound better (less like a robot) than the DNX-7100? To me, the portable Tom-Tom units sound the best.

You know you can change the voices on the Garmin nav side? It has few choices.

They all sound like robots. Seriously, has the Garmin voice engine changed? The thing I don't understand is...the Garmin portable units sound better. I've heard the Tom-Tom voices and they sound great! What gives?

I'll be hitting my rep up on Monday. They're also my rep for Boston Accousics and I have a complete Boston system I'm doing for a customer's Lexus this week. Hopefully I hear "we got them" and I can take care of my patient customers.

This has really hurt me that I can't get my hands on these radios. I'm starving so bad for business right now since the dealerships market is taking hard hits and this is just another nail in the coffin. I'm sure other retailers are feeling the same. We got these piece of sh*t SonicElectronics, Onlinecarstereo, etc guys just killing us retailers with their $10 over cost bullsh*t. Our only lifeline is the walk-in customers that want to buy the product but there's one problem. We can't get it. Its so frustrating. I would rather close my business then to match the pricing of these guys lowballing the industry. Hell some of them are selling products cheaper than I can even purchase it for so that means they are either purchasing directly from the manufacturer in bulk or its the manufacturer or distributor themselves selling to the public. Some really rotten stuff here.

I'm just venting my frustrations. Anybody that works for a retailer or owns a business themselves knows my pain.

Nice, Let us know how you like it. I got tired of waiting almost 5 months. So I went with the JVC. The only thing that I would have liked to have gotten is voice reconigtion but no big thing.

I picked up my 8120 from travis a while back, and i love it. there are so many features that i havent even found yet!
I finally got mine all wired up the way i want it the other day.
I ran the two usbs to the glove box, and got my overhead installed and hooked up.
I couldnt use the swi jack though, so i had to go with the swix steering wheel controler but thats all hooked up and working. Im finally satisfied.
Does anyone know the screen resolution size off hand? i wanna make a few background pics for mine as im getting tired of the ford logo i put on there.
