All I know of is the Langley Speedway or whatever it's called but oval tracks do not interest me. Is there a drag strip somewhere I can do a few runs?

 

Virginia motorsports park in Dinwiddie, outside Richmond. Or you can find a dead end street.

 

There is an 1/8 mile track down in NC, but none in Hampton besides the oval track. Closest 1/4 mile strips are at Richmond Dragway or VMP as mentioned above. Both are just outside Richmond. I've been up to both a few times in my Mustang.

 

Go to VMP in Dinwiddie.

Look for (T&T) Fri nights or Saturdays
Go before it gets too hot or wait for Fall.
My truck ran 4 tenths faster in October than in July.

Oh, I think you can drive Langley on Wednesdays but, I wouldn't with an '08 Ford unless it's paid for.
They got concrete walls there.
