Come on down to carolina and run the corolla beaches. There are trails back in the dunes. Just don't get caught ON a dune!
You can do Oregon Inlet also and its a little more "traveled" in case you get stuck.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably make a day trip out of it sometime in the next couple weeks. Is there anywhere in particular I should go to get on the beach at or are there access points all along the road?

You will find access roads all over the place. If you keep going past Oregan Inlet towards Hateras Island it is a 2 lane road and you will see beach access all over there also. You can also go to Corolla. just take the main road towards Southern Shores untill the road ends and then it is all sand for miles. The beach is also real wide in Corolla. If you like muddin' I know some places in Stafford but you might want to have a winch, big tires, a lift and a friend with you. I have seen some big *** trucks get stuck in some deep *** ruts.

Anyone know of anymore places around. Last year I went to The Cove for a off-roading event and had a blast. It was put on by Big Dog. Looking for something else like this, you know camping, beer, trucks the good ol' redneck stuff.
