Excellent! Hmm, you know I am not sure. I have never heard of that being done, but it probably wouldn't hurt just to be safe. I don't think it needs to adjust, that is usually for intakes.

Thanks for the advice...now I can go ahead and purchase the kit. One more question in regards to install. I'm planning on doing it myself and the directions state you should disconnect the battery first. Is this necessary as far as helping the computer notice the new exhaust better or is it more for safety reasons?

    Hey man,

Nope you don't have to at all. Some people just like to, but unless they get a custom tuner like a Gryphon, Xcal 2 or 3 ect, they do not get the full gains. You will have no issue with just the exhaust. I had my maggie set-up for 4 months before I did the DWV intake mod. I am hoping to get my truck custom tuned very soon so I see nice gains and better shifts ect. If I were you and wanted an intake, I would get the exhaust and then save for a intake and tuner so you can get the gains at the same time. Let me know if you need more help.

I have a question in regards to intakes...hope you don't mind. I'm installing a Magnaflow siso on my 09 XLT...do I have to install an intake also. It seems like most of the trucks with custom exhaust have gone this route...any advice? Thanks
