    im using a autometer guage with sender. my sensor is only about a 1/2 inch long and then the threads start. it fit just fine.

    Hey, I caught your post about where to put the trans temp sensor. I have a 97 X and the temp sending unit is too long to fit into the test port (sunpro gauge)...it bottoms out before the threads even hit. What brand is your gauge/sending unit?
