I assume you're asking about the upper grille. If you buy the one from Ford it comes complete with a surround and it simply bolts into place - two bolts on each side under the hood. If you get the Roush grille, it's only an insert. You have to use your own surround and first remove your OEM grille. Those inserts snap into place using a series of clips. Best way is to use a heat gun to warm and soften the clips until they're pliable, then using a large screwdriver you can unsnap the clips one at a time. The Roush insert then just clips into place. The roush insert comes with these instructions.

The upper grille came from Ford after I wrecked the truck at Christmas. It is the Ford "Chrome Edition" grille. My body shop says Ford priced it at over $700! I found one earlier from www.discountfordpartsaty2kford.com for around $300. It is the same as the Roush grille except the Oval is built in and sits flush with the grille bars. On the Roush grille you can mount an oval but it sits atop the grille.

My bumper grille was made from a Roush grille I had on the truck before the wreck. We simply cut 5 or 6 bars out of the Roush grille and then made brackets to mount it. You can see a photo of one of the brackets in my gallery. They bolt to the bumper using the bolts that hold the license plate bracket in place, then they are pop riveted to the vertical spar of the grille's structure. You can get the Roush grille here:
