Well first off I used Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint. The satin matches my wheels alot better than gloss would. I used thin painters tape. Taped off the top and bottom, each corner, then the sides so there was no way the paint could get onto the body. Then i laid newspaper all around and taped up my fender. I also used a card board box to contain the over spray. I roughed them up with 180 grit, sprayed 3 light coats, sanded them again with 320, then 2 more heavy coats. You should definitely give it a shot

hey man i love those emblems that you did and im wanting to do the same thing. How did you do them and what kind of paint. Satin maybe? and did you have a problem of paint getting on the fender.
