    It depends. The diesel is a unique trans. It won't fit anything else. The 5.4L and 6.8L have internal differences. A 5.4L trans won't last long behind a 6.8L, but a 6.8L will work fine behind a 5.4L.

    The trans in the vans is the same as the two wheel drive pickups. 4x4 have a different output shaft and extension housing. The Excursion also used the same trans.

    The trans are the same '99-2003 on the diesels, '99-2004 on the gas engines.

    hello do you know if i can use a tranny out of any other trucks for the 1999 f250 superduty 4x4 thanks alot zack
