I haven't recieved a lot of info regarding the lost cruise control issue, I have the recon third brake light and so do many other members, they haven't had problems, not sure if it's a 2006 thing or what, the only solution I have seen is someone wired in the socket for the original third brake light and just hid the bulb behind the light, so the truck still thinks the light is on and therefore cruise still works, haven't done anything on mine yet tho..

In reading the post on LED installation, I see you had an issue with your cruise control not working after the installation of a 3rd (overhead cab) LED brakelight. I installed LED tail lamps/brake light bulbs as well as an LED "third brakelight/cargo lamps" unit.

On the way to work, I noticed my cruise was not working as well; I press the "on" button on the steering wheel, and the dash icon for the cruise does not light up. Is this what you experienced?

In your findings, is it just the third brakelight LED arrangement that caused this, or could it be that I also installed LED's in the tail lamps too? I used superbrightleds for the tail lamps, and a kit off of Ebay for the 3rd brake light assembly. Thanks for any light you can shine on this question! If it'sd easier to communicate via email, my email address is gomagicbus@gmail.com.
